Cyberworld Tour (Y92-early 93): Consolidation, a New Departure, a New Brother
The third world tour of the Coven, dubbed the Cyberworld Tour, began in the frozen north, in the city of Tromso; with a theme that mixed cyberpunk and fantasy, and songs that borrowed much from electronica, this tour consolidated the Coven as a top band, with a flawless streak of 'perfect'+ rated shows, with each of them being played to audiences of 10.000. At one point, the band reached the 125th position in the world Heavy Metal rankings - an all-time high.
Only two singles were released during this tour: Cybernetic Fantasy and Dea Ex Machina. In spite of the 'perfect' reviews and the quality of the songs, neither achieved Gold Single Status.
As the tour came to its end, another sad news shook the band: Synnove Andersen, who had been with the Coven since the Riders of the Sun Tour, decided to leave, alleging personal issues. She still stayed with the band for the remainder of the tour, and participated in the recording of the tracks for the yet-to-be-released Witches' Hammer album as a guest performer; as the Coven left London for the new tour, however, she bid her sisters goodbye and parted ways.
But the Coven did not leave London as a quartet: in the short breaktime between the third and the fourth tours, Synnove's place as electric guitarist had already been succeeded - and, this time, by a brother, James Willman. Still, it was not the first time a male was part of the Coven: Heitor Silka Pereira (Kenya Nefertari's cousin) had been a member in the years before the Riders of the Sun Tour.
Changed, but still strong, the Coven went on its fourth world tour - one that would be centred around the lore around which the band itself was built...
